VXworks to SPARC.
In the late 1990s nearly 20 companies were listed
in our Operating
Systems for SPARC directory. Most of that support ended by 2000 due to a
combination of
market factors.
But recently Sun's UltraSPARC T2 performance,
open licensing and competitive footprint have resurrected hopes for a growth in
SPARC market share.
In April 2008 Wind River said it will port its
Carrier Grade Linux to Sun's UltraSPARC T2 processor. |
